The Susie Glaze New Folk Ensemble boasts an exceptional lineup, with award-winning vocalist Susie Glaze leading the ensemble. Alongside her are the incredibly talented musicians, mandolinist Steve Rankin, fiddler Mark Indictor, and bassist Fred Sanders. This newest version of the acclaimed Los Angeles-based Americana group offers a captivating fusion of folk Americana, enriched with exciting new grassy and Celtic-inspired originals. Their performances encompass a harmonious blend of mountain folk and enthralling storytelling, all brought to life by Susie Glaze's remarkable voice.

Drawing comparisons to classic British bands Pentangle and Fairport Convention, The Susie Glaze New Folk Ensemble presents music that gracefully intertwines classic folk elements with poignant tales of tragedy and fate. Their orchestral arrangements, reminiscent of chamber music, create a unique and immersive experience for the audience.

The band's reputation precedes them, having graced premier venues and festivals on the West Coast, including Berkeley’s Freight & Salvage, McCabe's Guitar Shop, The Broad Stage, the Hollywood Bowl, Palms Playhouse, Don Quixote's Music Hall, Kuumbwa Jazz Center, and CalTech Folk Music Society, among others.

Critics and music enthusiasts alike have lauded their critically acclaimed album "White Swan," released in March of 2013. Garnering praise from renowned publications such as No Depression, FolkWorks, Pop Matters, M Magazine for Musicians, Music News Nashville, and FolkWords UK, the album earned a coveted spot in the Top 50 on the Roots Music Report's Combined Internet and Terrestrial Folk Chart. Building on this success, their latest album, "Not That Kind of Girl," produced by Herb Pedersen and released in June 2015, continues to receive rave reviews and widespread radio airplay across the country.

The ASU-Beebe outdoor concert promises an evening filled with sophisticated musical arrangements and impeccable musicianship. The Susie Glaze New Folk Ensemble's diverse influences come together seamlessly, resulting in an experience that transcends genres and captivates the hearts of all music enthusiasts.

The event will commence at 5:00 p.m., with complimentary food provided by Great Western until 6:00 p.m., followed by the eagerly anticipated concert at 7:00 p.m. For those seeking an enhanced experience, preferred reserved seating is available for $5, or attendees are invited to bring their lawn chairs for a relaxed and comfortable viewing experience.

Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of a magical night of exceptional music, camaraderie, and cherished memories.
